Looking for easily transportable chairs and or design of chairs.  Please post links or pictures of designs you have come up with.

Unto Al Altan doth Robert of Albemarle send greetings.

Good sir,

I don't know if this is of any help to you, but I do recall there seeing some plans for Renaissance-era folding chairs in either A) the Known Worlde Handbook or B) an issue of Tournaments Illuminated, both from circa 1992.  It might just be possible that the SCA store (I forget the name at the moment) might be able to tell you if I'm on the right track.  I THINK there were some box chair plans in an old issue of the Oak from about the same time period.

Failing that, try the Pillaged Village online.  They're a company that supplies the SCA and RenFaire people.  I almost ordered a set of plans for tables and benches...I bet there's a set of plans for chairs around there somewhere.

Hope this helps,
Rob

I have reviewed quite a few plans for such chairs. This is one of the most detail set of plans/explanations I have found.
